According to the SIM Registration Act (SRA) or Republic Act No. 11934, all the new and exciting DITO SIM subscribers must register their SIM online to avoid deactivation and the sim must be registered according to Philippine government rules.

This act issued by the National Telecommunication Commission and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) was signed on December 12, 2022, and took effect on December 27, 2022.

This act was implemented to protect from online spam, scams, theft, fake news, and fraud.

All prepaid or postpaid DITO SIM users, including foreign nationals, must register their sim to enjoy service without deactivation.

Methods of DITO SIM Registration

There are three methods of DITO SIM Registration whether you are a prepaid or postpaid existing user.

DITO SIM Registration APP Method

• First, install or download the DITO App on your mobile Android, or iOS.
• Now open the app and Log in by entering your password and username.

• Then click on “SIM Registration”.

• Download & install the DITO App (Android) from the official link below.

• Download & install the DITO IOS APP from the official link below

Now select the registrant type  Registrant type

• Foreign national tourist
• Foreign national with a Visa
• Filipino
• Filipino dependent or minor
• Business Entity/ Organization

• After this enter your 11-digit DITO mobile number and click verify.
• You will receive a time pin or OTP on your mobile number.
• Enter the OTP for the verification of your mobile number and click Submit.
• Now you can select ID type, take an ID card photo and upload it, and also take a live selfie photo for verification.
• Fill in your legal personal information full name, address, date of birth, valid ID, gender 
• and after this press the proceed button.
• Now check if all information is correct or not. In case of any mistake, you can change your data to correct any mistake.
• After reading the data privacy statement tick the checkbox to agree on the terms and conditions.
• Click on the “Register” button and your sim registration process is complete.
• Now you are registered with a DITO SIM Card.

  If you are a new user of DITO SIM so, follow these steps to register your SIM card

• Put your sim on your mobile phone.
• Check the inbox message on your phone.
• You will receive a link OPEN this link for sim registration.
• Fill out the form and submit it.
•  After this, you will be registered

SIM Card Registration Deadline

For New Customers

After inserting a DITO SIM Card in your mobile it is compulsory to register it.

For Old Customers

If you are an old customer and you can not register your sim card, the sim card becomes deactivated for calls, messages, and internet access.The deadline of sim card registration is July 25, 2023.

Encountering SIM Registration Failure

If you face problems during sim registration or fail to register the sim. Follow these steps to check the problems.

• Make sure before submitting the form it can be filled completely.
• Make sure you have downloaded the new version of the DITO APP.
• If any type of mistake occurs log out of the app login to the app again and restart the registration process.

Encountering issues with uploading photos

 In many cases, people face problems by uploading a selfie photo.

• Make sure your photo size must be less than 2MB.
•  And the photo will be clear and valid.
•  Using an online tool to resize the photo take a screenshot of the photo and upload it.

How to Fix DITO SIM Registration Error

Follow these steps to fix the error

• First, check your internet connection
• Now switch off your phone
• Then take out the sim card tray from your smartphone
• Use a piece of cloth or paper to rub the SIM card
• Now  put the SIM back to try

DITO SIM No Signal

In the case of a DITO sim with no signal follow these steps

• On the airplane mode on your phone

• Reset the Network setting of your smartphone
